Come and work with us

We are hiring at Deptford Mall in New Jersey and Poughkeepsie Galleria in New York. The form takes about ten minutes. Everything marked with a red star is needed.

Please read the job description carefully before you apply.

There are eight parts. Open each one, read it, and tick it. We ask this so that nobody arrives on their first shift surprised by what the job involves.

You are the person families meet. Most of the day is spent on the floor: greeting guests at the door, keeping the play area safe and tidy, running birthday parties, and handling the till. Between visits there is cleaning to do and phone calls to make. It is an active job in a loud, happy room, and the work changes hour to hour. No previous experience is required — we train.

Welcoming families, checking waivers, selling admission and add-ons on the till, answering questions about prices, parties and opening hours, and handling card and cash payments accurately.

Watching the equipment and the children using it, stepping in when play gets rough, keeping walkways and the sock area clear, and following the safety rules without exception. You are not a childminder — parents stay responsible for their children — but you are the pair of eyes that notices a problem before it becomes one.

Setting up the party room before guests arrive, serving food and drinks, keeping the party to its schedule, looking after the birthday child and their guests, and clearing and resetting the room afterwards.

Wiping down equipment, tables and high-touch surfaces through the day, tidying the ball pit and soft play, cleaning the party rooms between bookings, restrooms, sweeping and mopping, and taking out rubbish. The place is clean because staff keep it clean, not because someone else does it later.

Answering the shop phone, taking party enquiries and booking details, and — when the floor is quiet — calling families from our list to tell them about party packages and offers. Full training and a script are provided; you are never asked to improvise.

Setting up before opening, cashing up and locking down at close, restocking supplies, and reporting anything broken or unsafe to the shift manager.

Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days and weekend availability is expected. Shifts also fall on school holidays. We agree your availability before you start and we expect you to keep to the shifts you accept.

The role involves standing and moving for most of a shift, bending and kneeling to help children, climbing into soft-play structures, and occasionally lifting up to about 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available — please ask us.
